Experience "Unconventional," an exhibition that celebrates the innovative spirit of Access Gallery artists with disabilities. Webster’s dictionary defines "unconventional" as "being out of the ordinary," and this show embodies that spirit. Artists have ventured beyond their comfort zones, embracing new mediums, subjects, and approaches, resulting in a collection of compelling works. This exhibition highlights the transformative power of artistic expression, showcasing the unique visions and boundless creativity that emerge when artists are inspired to explore their artistic expression.
Artist Chat with repaints_doll - May 16, 2025 (Second 3rd Friday)

Join us for a special artist chat with repaints_doll. Witness the transformation of discarded dolls into vibrant and unique characters, each telling its own story. For nearly a decade, this artist has dedicated herself to the art of doll repainting, drawing inspiration from cartoons, movies, and mythology. This is more than just repainting; it's a reclamation, a celebration of second chances, and an act of environmental consciousness. With over 200 dolls crafted, repaints_doll meticulously sketches, sculpts, and paints, bringing characters from her inner world to life. "I live in my own world," she shares, "and I want to share it with you." Step into a world where imagination transforms the ordinary and discover the power of artistic resilience. Come meet repaints_doll on the Third Friday, May 16th from 6-8pm and learn more about her creative process.

Our Studio
The Studio offers skill-building across artistic mediums for artists with disabilities and supports the advancement of each artist's creative potential. Artists learn from talented local artists, work for real-world clients, and plan their artistic careers. The studio also offers free community workshops.
